Amber Sobrio-Ritter

Strength Coach, Behavior Change Expert

  • Amber is a trauma-informed Board Certified Behavior Analyst and NASM-Certified Personal Trainer who will work with you to create lasting change with a science-based (and heart-centered) approach.

  • As a masters level behavior analyst, Amber utilizes evidence-based science to support clients to be successful both in and out of the gym.

    If you’ve struggled to be consistent in the past, Amber will support you to develop systems that change your habits for good.

  • Amber supports women to identify and overcome barriers to self-care. Using tools based on Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Amber will work with you to identify your values and then reduce barriers that negatively impact the ability to move towards them.

  • Amber focuses on long-term sustainability of nutritional and strength programs to support a balanced approach to fitness and health.

    This means that she coaches clients to be successful in ways that will not negatively impact their daily lives- no cutting out major food groups, no spending 2+ hours in the gym, no sacrificing one valued area of life for another.

This is a judgement free zone.

It is scientifically proven that using shame-based methods to change behavior is not effective. Using shame as a fuel can actually have an opposite effect where you find yourself leaning even MORE on unhealthy coping behaviors, and then beating yourself up about it.

With time and practice, you can make progress using self-love instead of self-loathing to fuel your forward movement, and you can learn to integrate self-compassion to give yourself a soft place to land in hard moments.
